Puttur, Apr 20: A biker was killed near Nelyadi bus stand here after being knocked down by a tipper on Thursday April 20 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Immanuel alias Kunhi (66), a resident of Gandibagilu in Beltangady. His wife Clara (60) who was riding pillion has sustained serious injuries in the accident.
They had gone to Nelyadi to invite one of their relatives Paulose to the wedding of their daughter. They were on their way back home when a tipper coming from Shirady knocked them down near Nelyadi bus stand. As a result he fell on the road and sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
Nelyadi police have registered a case in this regard.
