Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 11: A youth who confessed in a state of intoxication about a crime his maternal uncle had committed six years ago, is cursing himself for taking to liquor. Because, the police have now dug up the old case relating to disappearance of a man, and converted it into murder. The accused has been arrested.

Selva Kumar

A person had committed murder six years back for frivolous reasons. Mohan from Babusa Palya near Hennur in the city had murdered a person named Selva Kumar (29) in 2009, after differences arose between the two over repayment of petty loan of Rs 300. Selva Kumar's family had thought after he disappeared, that Kumar had deserted the family. Everyone thought that Kumar was alive somewhere.

After Kumarasan, relative of Mohan, revealed the secret behind Selva Kumar's disappearance in a drunken state recently, and proudly listed it as an achievement of his uncle, the listeners were convinced. As this information reached the family of Selva Kumar, the family members approached Hennur police station.

The police took Mohan into custody, questioned him, and came to know about the crime which occurred six years ago. On Friday, Mohan was taken to the spot where Selva Kumar's body had been interred by him, and the mortal remains were dug out, officials said.

Instead of resorting to third degree tortures to know about truth of crime, police should use alcohol as alternative source where they need not have to struggle to know truth

crime will not go undidected. One day or other it will comeout, however one tries to hide.Innocent blood will cry to heaven. In future Police should Keep ready alcohol to get the truth out (not for their consume). It might also help in rape cases.no Need of Hypnose. But other side when one talks in a drunken state ,cant be taken serious or as Statement says court.

The truth has come out and the person is now in police custody.

No doubt the details were revealed by a relative when he was in a drunken state of mind. The credit however goes to the crime department for making thorough investigations arrested the criminal.
