Mangalore, May 27: The city welcomed the morning of Sunday May 27 in the backdrop of a colourful sky and an eye-catching sunrise scene.

Many parts of the district received heavy showers on Saturday but the city had to be content with mild showers. Rainfall in small quantity was felt in a few parts of the city. The atmosphere had cooled down after a harsh spell of heat and humidity for over two weeks.

Around 5:30 am the sky was splashed with reddish clouds. The rising sun slowly emerged out of the dark clouds with radiance, thus providing the visual treat.

Those accustomed to getting up late on Sundays appeared to have missed the fun.

Our photographer Sphoorti Ullal is not the one who would miss such moments and was ready to capture the scenes for the delight of our readers.
