Mangalore, May 27: Konkan Publications in the city celebrated its First Anniversary of 'Dirvem' Konkani weekly on Sunday May 27.
Fr Ronald Cutinho, Director, Samanvaya inaugurated the programme. Konkani writer Fr V J Menezes, UAE based Entrepreneur Leo Rodrigues, Eric Ozario, President, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, Roy Castelino, President, Konkani Prachar Sanchalan, Roshan Castelino, president, Konkani Yuva Awaz and Konkani writer Gladis Rego were chief guests during the occasion.
John A Monis, Editor of 'Dirvem' introduced the guests and highlighted the achievements and progress of the weekly during the past year.
Earlier Canute Kelarai welcomed the gathering and Noel D'Souza proposed vote of thanks.
Santhosh Omzur compered the programme.
