Kundapur, May 28: A computer teacher of prestigious Venkatramana English Medium School here was knocked down by a Qualis car here on Sunday May 28.

The deceased has been identified as Sudhindra Hebbar (27), son of Gopalkrishna Hebbar of Beejadi near here.  He was a computer teacher in Venkatramana English Medium School.  His father Gopalkrishna Hebbar is the president of standing committee of BJP of Koteshwar.

On Sunday he along with his friend Nagesh Nayiri of Saligram was coming towards the town from Tallur riding his mobike.  While they reached Shashtri Circle here, a Qualis car coming from the opposite direction turned to the other side without giving any signal.

As a result car rammed into Sudhindra's bike and knocked both Sudhindra and Nagesh down.  While Nagesh escaped with a few minor injuries, Sudhindra sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.  But he breathed his last on the way.

A complaint has been registered in Kundapur police station in this regard.
