Puttur, May 28: An illegally-run slaughter house at Janata Colony near Koila here was raided by police on Sunday May 27.  The police arrested a rickshaw with cattle meat and a bike.  However, accused fled the place during the raid.

The Kadaba police led by SI Nandakumar raided the slaughter house after receiving sure tip-off about it.  When the police raided, the accused were filling the cattle meet into rickshaw.  Hyder, son of Ibrahim of Janata Colony, Ilias, son of Ismail, Rahiman and Sulaiman were involved in slaughtering cattle illegally.

As soon as they saw the police, they fled the place.  Police managed to seize 60 kilograms of meat, a mobike and the rickshaw.  Police sources said that Hyder was arrested only a month ago with regard to cattle running and was released on bail recently.
