Karkala, May 29: Dr Uday Hegde (50), an eminent physician, died in a road accident on Tuesday May 29.
The incident occurred while he was traveling to Manipal on Tuesday morning. Sources said that, the Alto car in which he was travelling rammed into a tree by the roadside.
As a result he was seriously injured. Later he was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to injuries
Dr Hegde was practicing medicine since 25 years and had a clinic at Salmara here.
He is survived by wife Vijayalakshmi and daughter Dr Divya D Shetty, a dentist in Bangalore.
