Mangalore, May 30: The Congress party has complained that JD (S) is distributing pamphlets containing the photographs of religious head of Muslim community, namely, the Khazi of Ullal, blessing the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, said former minister H K Patil

He was speaking at a press conference on Wednesday May 30 evening.

The pamphlet aims to woo the voters on the basis of religion, which is against the election code of conduct, he said.

Commenting about the statements of minister Iqbal Ansari, Patil said that, Ansari said everything in the presence of the chief minister. But the chief minister has not commented anything and he has not even denied it. Even he changed his tone at Chamarajanagar and said that he would continue to be CM. “Who is the lier here? Ansari or the chief minister?” he questioned.

H K Patil also said that, a total of 1, 41,793 files are pending in the Vidhana Soudha. Out of them, 1, 8,768 files are come under the ministry of the chief minister. If the chief minister is unable to clear the files in Vidhana Soudha, when will be he is clearing the files which are submitted at Janata Darshan, he questioned.

Deputy chief minister Yediyurappa assured the voters that, BJP would adopt Ullal constituency if it wins here. This is nothing but malpractice at the time of election. The election commission should take action against Yadiyurappa, he urged.

MLA Abhayachandra, MLC Umashree and others were present at press conference.
