Mangalore, May 31: Expert Educational and Charitable Trust will start pre-university science college from the current scholastic year (2007-2008). It was a long-cherished dream of the founders of expert to start the PU Science College to impart quality education in the stream of science.

This was announced in a press conference by Narendra Nayak, chairman of Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation here on Thursday May 31.

He said that all the necessary arrangements have been done and qualified lecturers and technical staff have already been recruited to deliver the best to the students. Dr K Rajendra, a veteran in the subject of biology and having 35 years of teaching experience will be the principal of the new college, a press note stated.

The new PU Science College will offer 2 courses, that is, PCMB and PCMS. It is well- equipped with a modern laboratory, library and all other required amenities.

Inaugural function of the new college will be held on Thursday June 7 at 4.30 pm at Town Hall here. B Nagraj Shetty, endowment, fisheries and district-in-charge minister will be the inaugurator. N Vinay Hegde, chairman of NITTE education trust will preside over the programme. Captain Ganesh Karnik, M L C and Sheelavathi K, deputy director of PU department will be the guests of honor, he said.

A unique Sitar Bahar programme featuring Ustad Hameed Khan, Ustad Rafique Khan, Ustad Shafique Khan, Ankush N Nayak and Mohsin Khan will be performed after the stage programme.

Students of Expert including Venkatesh S Kaulgud, Karan Shetty and Amina Asfiya who have come out with flying colours in the CET exams were honored on Thursday May 31.
