Udupi, Jun 1: Union minister of state for labour Oscar Fernandes visited the Hitech Hospital and enquired after the health of the persons who were injured in the Muloor roadcrash in Udupi district here on Thursday May 28.

Addressing the presspersons, he said while the collision between a bus and a maxi-cab had resulted in the death of 17 persons, he would make an effort to see that the relatives of those dead and the injured got compensation from the government.

He urged the drivers to be careful while they drive any vehicle and their hurry to reach the destinations would lead to such collisions.

President of district congress committee M A Gafoor, former MP Vinaykumar Sorake and former minister Vasant Salian were present.
