Great thinking and simple living of this veteran freedom fighter, activist, educationist, author, poet and former journalist.

I had lessons or poems either in elementary or primary under the pen name 'Kayyar Kinhanna Rai'.

A great loss to kannada literary world - andkasargod kannadigas. Unfortunately his wish of merging kasargod into karnataka remained an unfulfilled dream- My teacher - still visualise/ remember the gigantic personality - as a person and as a poet. Won prestigious "rashtrprasasti" in 1969-70 as an outstanding teacher. May his soul rest in peace.
