Mangalore, Jul 17: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat members condemned the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) officials for supposedly neglecting the ZP members.

Raising the issue, ZP member Mamatha Gatti charged the officials with neglecting the members and their work pertaining to infrastructure development at schools. 

She charged the officials for two reasons. One was for confirming the list of works after the discussion with the members and then modifying it on their own before sending for approval. This confirmation of the list was done without the approval of the members she added.

As a result if this, several projects in the rural area of the district are not enjoying the benefits of given by the government, she informed. 

Sushma Janardhan, president of ZP also felt that the officials are ignoring the members.

ZP CEO directed the officials to transform all the worries into confidence while implementing the SSA scheme.
