Kundapur, Jul 17:  A state-level Konkani conference organized under the auspices of ‘Jai Konkani’ institute will be held at Laxmi Narasimha Memorial Hall of Government Pre-University College here on Sunday August 19.

More than a thousand delegates from sixteen different communities whose mother tongue is Konkani are expected to participate in the conference.

Prominent Konkani writers and literary men from different parts of the state in general and from Goa, Kerala and Maharastra in particular will participate in the conference.

Special importance would be given to young Konkani writers on the occasion. There will be an exhibition of art, literature and folklore artifacts.

Those interested to participate in the conference either as Konkani artiste or as young and old men of Konkani literature or as Konkani linguistic organizations are requested to write to ‘Jai Konkani’, Post Box No 44, Kundapur along with their bio-data.
