Mangalore, Jul 18: The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is planning to set up a committee for speedy implementation of the process of complete digitization in the corporation.

The MCC has also decided to go by the guidelines followed by Hubli-Dharwad City Corporation, which had set up a committee comprising of experts from various fields for the implementation of the project.

The corporation had even approached the NITK, Suratkal earlier to implement the project and later decided to invite tenders from the private institutions to undertake the job. However, the corporation could not speed up these steps and as a result the project is now moving at a slow pace.

MCC is yet to commence the digitization of its system, while the execution of the same in most other town panchayats and corporations is progressing rapidly.

Through complete digitization process through its e-governance programme, MCC would be able to digitize all documents linked to the corporation. This in turn would increase the speed of its service and thereby benefit the citizens.
