Mangalore, Jul 18: A woman who had gone to fetch clothes that were hung up in a line on the terrace of her house, was electrocuted near Vittalwadi Prasanna Ganapathy temple here on Tuesday July 18.

The victim has been identified as Sujatha (52), who accidentally came in contact with the live wire, as she had gone to check the pipes after fetching the clothes. 

Originally from Sringeri, Sujatha was married to Vedamurthi Laxminarayan Bhat, a vedic scholar practicing at Gokarna, who had gone to Bangalore to attend a vedic conference. 

There was no one in the house except her mother-in-law.  Moreover they had shifted to their newly-built house a week ago. 

Kundapur police have filed a case in this regard.
