Mangaluru, Dec 7: Karnataka State Election Commission has announced reservation criteria for the zilla and taluk panchayat elections being held shortly. Details of reservation of constituencies in Dakshina Kannada district are as follows.

Shirtady - scheduled caste (woman), Kateel - general (woman), Bajpe - backward class A (woman), Yedapadavu - backward class A, Gurpur - backward fcass A, Neerrmarga - general (woman), Konaje - general (woman), Someshwar - backward class (woman), Sarapady - backward class B, Goltamajalu - general (woman), Mani - general (woman), Kolnadu - backward class, Kurnadu - backward woman (B category), Punacha - scheduled tribe (woman), Naravi - backward class A, Aladangadi - scheduled caste, Ujire - backward class A (woman), Laila - general (woman), Dharmasthala - scheduled tribe, Kuvettu - general (woman), Uppinangady - general (woman), Belandur - backward class A, Panaje - scheduled caste (woman), Nettanige Mudnoor - backward class B, Guthigar - general (woman), Jalsoor - backward class A (woman).

All other constituencies have been reserved for general category, it is gathered.
