Ronaldo's Fort Lauderdale Strikers sign Brazilian keeper Bruno

Rio de Janeiro, Jan 3 (IANS): Fort Lauderdale Strikers, the United States' second tier football club partly owned by former star striker Ronaldo, have signed Brazilian goalkeeper Bruno.

The 31-year-old joined the Strikers from Brazilian Serie A outfit Palmeiras for an undisclosed fee, the Florida-based club said on Saturday, reports Xinhua.

"Bruno has the experience of having played at one of the largest clubs in Brazil," Fort Lauderdale's Brazilian coach Caio Zanardi said.

The strikers also signed two other goalkeepers: Venezuela's Diego Restrepo and Argentine teenager Matias Reynares.

Fort Lauderdale currently play in the North American Soccer League, finishing eighth in last year's Spring Championship and fourth in the Fall Championship.

Later this month they will take part in the Florida Cup, which will also include teams from Brazil, Germany and Colombia.
