Those who don't say 'Bharat Mata ki jai' have no right to stay in India: Maha CM

Nashik, Apr 3 (PTI): Amid the raging debate over nationalism, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that those unwilling to say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' have no right to stay in the country.

"There is still a dispute over saying 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and those opposing to say it, should not have any right to stay here. Those living here should say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai," Fadnavis said at a public meeting here last night.

He also criticised Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for "backing" those who chant anti-national slogans.

He said the opposition parties should voice their protest against BJP, but not oppose 'Bharat Mata...' slogan, while cautioning that people of the country will not tolerate it.

With regard to the ongoing debate over women's entry being prohibited in some places of worship, Fadnavis said as per Hindu culture "there is no discrimination in gender or caste, and hence it was not proper to deny entry to women in any temple."

Since the state government has already made a statement on the issue in Bombay High Court, he said in the coming times "women will not be prevented from entering temple".
Without naming any party or leader, the CM said some people were creating dispute over separate Vidarbha, Marathwada versus the remaining Maharashtra.

On protests over releasing Nashik dam water for Marathwada, Fadnavis said since people of the region in the state are thirsty, it is our duty to give them water.

Alluding to investigations against some former ministers from the previous state government, the CM said that his government's battle is against corruption and corrupt tendencies. The government will not spare those who looted the state's treasure, he further said.

First of all the it is a disgrace for all women by the government in Maharashtra by playing a men/women card and blocking them from entering shani temple.
Once the SC ordered that all women should allowed to Temple, they made a drama of not allowing for men for a particular day so that they can stop women for ever .
Your government does not respect SC verdict and shouted slogans ‘Bharath mata ki jai’ and drive out women from the Temple area.

hypothetically if all Muslims leave India, will India prosper over night? India will still have its corruption problem, Caste discrimination, crime problem and so many others that are still prevalent widespread. These politicians know the pulse of the nation. Give the national some religious agenda to keep occupied and hating each other. While these politicians continue to loot the nation. Has Maharashtra become corruption free? Have farmers state improved? Has infrastructure improved? Has healthcare improved? Has Maharashtra become Swatch? Have tainted politicians and bureaucrats sent to jail? Are our police provided with bullet proof vests that they are so short of? Has lokpal been implemented as required? We have more important issues to take up first than to cry over "Bharat Mata ki jai". See what comes next, Because of this CM's statement - radicals will stop muslims on the street and ask them to chant - and when they refuse, beat up and all that drama will being and there will be no focus on actual political, economic state of Maharashtra. And this could very well be BJP's recipe for upcoming elections to polarize votes. Jai Ho Bharath.

All of us, including CM Fadnavis, should first honour our constitution. That's first discipline.
Just chanting is not enough, should be doers of what we chant in the anthem.

Dictator like Hitler, Saddam were disastrous, but humble like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Abdul Kalam, Mother Theresa won peoples hearts in this world.

All are happy to say "Jai Bharath" and "Jai Hind". There is only issue with "Matha". Some politicians are trying to divide and rule. Let us try to unite people of our great nation.

@Shankar, Mangalore: I really do not not how to explain in plain words to a bhakth. The problem does not lie with chanting Bharat Mata Ki but measuring the patriotism just by slogans. India got independence in 1947 and now suddenly RSS thought everyone should chant Bharat Mata Ki and if they don't chant they are not patriotic. Patriotism is not mere chanting the slogans and making money out of coffin boxes of our shaheed jawaans nor taking a world tour at the expense of tax payers, it is more than that. RSS even confused which flag is the national flag and which is national anthem and they claim that only they are patriotic. Patriotics do not show off but work silently towards his/her country. it is like when you're watching cricket match, you have to shout " India Indya, India Indya, India Indya" otherwise if you just watch the match you're not patriotic, you do not need to shout to show your patriotism. Ask RSS to send their young ones to Kashmir border or Siachin and let them express their patriotism with deeds if they have guts. I do not prove anybody how much I love my family, friends or country. If someone is asking the proof, he is an idiot just like many bhakths here.
