Dubai, Apr 14: Emirates Pangalites, UAE, will be organizing a drawing competition for children in the age groups of 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years and also a special category for children with special needs. This competition will be held at Kids Talent Center, Karama, Dubai on May 6 (Friday) from 9:30 am.

This will be the sixth drawing competition organized by the Association. The previous five drawing competitions received overwhelming response both from parents and children.

The main objective of the drawing competition is to:

- Provide an opportunity to children to compete and show their talents.
- Create awareness of the changing world.
- Discover and display their hidden talents.
- Motivate the budding artists to blossom in the field of the art.

The competition will be held in three regular groups and a separate group for children with special needs, as below:

Rules and Regulations:

1. Competition is open to all Mangalurean/Goan children.
2. Registration will be restricted to first 100 entries only for all the three categories.
3. Last date of registration is April 30, 2016.
4. All participants should report to the venue half an hour prior to the competition.
5. Only one drawing per participant to be submitted.
6. Stationery (colours, rubber, pencils etc) to be brought by the participants. No borrowing or lending will be entertained.
7. Drawing papers will be provided by the organizers at the venue.
8. Nature of the drawings should be strictly related to the subject given.
9. Drawings received will not be returned.
10. Best three drawings in each category will be awarded along with two consolation prizes.
11. Participants should abide to all the rules and regulations laid down by the organizers.
12. Decision of the judges will be treated as final.

Registered children will be notified via emails regarding the status of their registration. Only registered children will be allowed to participate in the competition.

The results of the competition will be declared on the same day before 12.30 pm. The prize distribution will be held at the venue shortly after the competition.
