Two sisters drown in Shivanasamudra when clicking photoes

Chamarajanagara, Jul 13: Two sisters, who had come to comply with religious vows at Shivanasamudra Dargah, drowned together in river water when trying to click photoes.

Sayeeda Banu (18) and Sabnam Banu (16), residents of R K Nagar Bengaluru, had come to Shivanasamudra with family members. At the Dargah, religious offerings were made on behalf of the child of their elder sister, Tabassum Banu.

As part of the ritual, a bath was given to the child in the river and its hair was being discharged into the river. The two sisters got a little adventurous when trying to click photos in the river that was in full flow. Both of them were washed away.
