Puttur, Jul 21: In an accident which occurred near Ishwaramangala in the taluk on Wednesday July 20, ten persons suffered injuries. Two among them suffered serious injuries while four escaped with minor nicks and cuts.
Five persons, Habib, Rafique, Shahira, Tahira and Hadi, who were seated in one of the cars, and Vikram, Mahilnath Shetty, Bharathi, Shreelatha and Balakrishna Rai seated in another car, got injured in the accident. Vikram and others were from Santhya in Nettanige Mudnur village, who were going to their house from the town to their home near Ishwaramangala.
The accident occurred when a car, which was trying to overtake another car, collided with a car coming from the opposite direction. The injured were admitted into private hospitals at Mangaluru and Puttur.
