Mangaluru, July 25: In connection with the alleged anti-people policies of the government, CPI(M) organized a protest rally on Monday July 25. The rally was held from Nehru Maidan to DC office here.

Addressing the protest CPI(M) leader K R Shriyan said, "The NDA government led by Narendra Modi has spent crores of rupees on advertisements in order to attract the people. It is from the people's money which is collected as tax. During the Lok Sabha elections Modi had made various promises to the people such as his government will reduce the prices of food commodities thereby making it affordable for the poor people. Though the BJP announced that youth are assets for the nation, the government has failed to take any initiative to create employment opportunities for the youth. Although Narendra Modi has assured to bring black money back to the country, it has not been fulfilled by the government."

CPI(M) leaders also alleged that even the state and the union government have failed to provide proper houses and sites to the poor and solve the increased cases of farmers' suicides in the country.

CPI(M) leader Vasanth Acharya, Sunil Kumar Bajal were present at the rally.

Balakrishna Shetty welcomed the gathering.
