Davanagere, Jul 28: Income tax officials raided house, offices, and factories being run by former state minister and MLA, Shamanur Shivashankarappa, and his family members here, on Wednesday July 27.
Six teams of five members each which arrived in over ten vehicles from Bengaluru, Hubballi, and Goa, conducted raids. The teams fanned out to various places and verified documents and records. Police security was provided to the teams.
In addition to the houses of the families, the teams visited Shamanur Sugars, Davanagere Sugars, Lakshmi Floor Mill, Kalleshwara Floor Mill, Bapuji Bank and house and offices of the family at Bengaluru.
