Kuznetsova upset over 'half-finished' training courts

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 3 (IANS): Russian tennis player Svetlana Kuznetsova, who will represent her country at the 2016 Olympics, has said she was disappointed with the condition of training courts in Rio.

"I am greatly disappointed! The courts are half-finished. It is such a mess, to put it mildly. The courts are dirty and dusty. I have a feeling of training at a construction site," Tass quoted Kuznetsova as saying.

Tennis players have little time to train.

"Only 45 minutes a day! Of course, it can be longer if there are few people. But since many courts are not finished, it is hardly possible. And we need to train two or three hours a day," said Kuznetsova, the 2004 US Open and 2009 French Open women's singles winner and three-time Federation Cup holder.

The Olympic Summer Games in Rio will kick off on August 5.
