Bengaluru: Income Tax raid on educational institutes, Rs 43 crore seized

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Sep 29: In one of the largest seizure of unaccounted currency notes in history, the income tax department has raided several educational institutes of medicine in the state and recovered currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations, the total amounting to Rs 43 crores. It is said that the scam involves an unaccounted income of Rs 265 crore. But this figure is yet to be confirmed

Officials from the Income Tax department investigation directorate, on a tip off and specific information swooped on the residence of the trustee of Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. The amount seized is said to be capitation fee collected from students, mostly for medical seats. A few of the other associated institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi and the premises of their key members of the group were also searched as part of the operation.

The search that had lasted for three days starting September 23, seized Rs 43 crores in currency notes, recovered from the premises of the group. A large number of incriminating documents and other forms of evidence have also been seized, and has resulted in the immediate disclosure of unaccounted income of over Rs 265 crore. The documents are reportedly being scrutinized.

The institution has partnered with Lakeside Hospital, several diagnostic centres, and has made investments in 300-bed hospitals in Bidar and West Bengal. The Vydehi group, whose founder chairman was the late liquor businessman DK Audikesavulu, also owns a chain of hospitals.

The institution offers medical, dental, paramedical and nursing courses, and runs a charitable hospital. Audikesavulu’s wife is the owner of the group at present.

MS Ramaiah group’s offices were searched recently and the management there admitted to huge amount of unaccounted income. Private medical colleges and the hefty capitation fees collected for medical seats have been on the I-T department’s radar for a while.

How Income Tax can be abolished and yet make India stronger.

Read in full the wonderful paper.

Anil Bokil , one of the key member of Arthakranti Sansthan was given time to share to PM Modi. He was given 9min for sharing but Mr Modi heard him for 2 hrs. The fundamental framework had been patented by the Sansthan, but I personally feel the Sansthan should gift the proposal to India.

    Arthakranti Proposal

What is Arthakranti Proposal and who has given the proposal?

“Arthakranti Proposal” has been given by a Pune (Maharashtra) based “Arthakranti Sansthan” which is an Economic Advisory body constituted by a group of Chartered Accountants and Engineers. The fundamental framework has been patented by the Sansthan.

Arthakranti Proposal is an effective and guaranteed solution of Black Money Generation, Price rise and Inflation, Corruption, Fiscal Deficit, Unemployment, Ransom, GDP and industrial growth, terrorism and good governance.

What is in the Proposal ?

“Arthakranti Proposal has FIVE point of actions simultaneously.

    (1) Scrap all 56 Taxes including income tax excluding import duty.

    (2) Recall and scrap high denomination currencies of 1000, 500 and 100 rupees.

    (3) All high value transaction to be made only through banking system like cheque, DD, online and electronic.

    (4) Fix limit of cash transaction and no taxing on cash transaction.

    (5) For Govt. revenue collection introduce single point tax system through banking system – Banking Transaction Tax (2% to 0.7%) on only Credit Amount

    Important Points to note:

    (1) As on today total banking transaction is more than 2.7 lakh crores per day say more than 800 lakh crores annually.

    (2) Less than 20% transaction is made through banking system as on today and more than 80% transaction made in cash only, which is not traceable.

    (3) 78% of Indian population spend less than 20/- rupees daily why they need 1000/- rupee note.

What will happen if All FIFTY SIX Taxes including income tax scrapped :

    (1) Salaried people will bring home more money which will increase purchasing power of the family.

    (2) All commodities including Petrol, Diesel, FMCG will become cheaper by 35% to 52% .

    (3) No question of Tax evasion so no black money generation.

    (4) Business sector will get boosted. So self employment.

What will happen if 1000/ 500/ 100 Rupees currency notes recalled and scrapped :

    (1) Corruption through cash will stopped 100%.

    (2) Black money will be either converted to white or will vanish as billions of 1000/500/100 currency notes hidden in bags without use will become simple pieces of papers.

    (3) Unaccounted hidden huge cash is skyrocketing the prices of properties, land, houses, jewellery etc and hard earned money is loosing its value this trend will stop immediately.

    (4) Kidnapping and ransom, “Supari killing” will stop.

500/1000 rupee notes should be demonetized with immediate effect! Only this one measure will bring out the hard cash stashed in vaults out of the system, also corruption will come down by a large extent!!

Almost all so called elite educational institutions are generating black money and hundreds of crores....Many insist on cash in suitcases and no receipt will be given!!!. Only a 10% amount will be given receipt which is taken in cheque!!!. Same with all hospitals! many give only credit invoices but never bills even after paying in cash!. This allows them to manipulate and file wrong information with tax authorities!. CA's who help these are biggest culprits!!!

As long as there are VAINLY PROUD PARENTS who are ready to buy MBBS seats for their children such corruption in our medical institutions will continue to flourish.

Its not like the institutions are forcing anyone to buy a seat.

Looking at it the other way around, we are forcing them to sell us a seat in their institutions.

We the general public are sowing and fertilizing corruption.

In India Medical education became the property of rich people. Supreme court must close the private medicine colleges and them as Govt medicine colleges in an emergency order. Grill them which students paid to them and from where they got the money and register FIR against those students so that they should visit the courts for whole 5 and half years. Medicine colleges are now a days became commercial colleges. Keep an eye on Mangalore also, definitely there are more to be in net.
