Mangaluru, Dec 13: Shashidhar (40), who was working for a canteen in Shivbagh in the city ended his life by consuming poison. This fact came to light on Monday December 12 morning.
The deceased has left behind wife and two daughters. Shashidhar, who was from Venoor in Beltangady taluk, used to stay in a room of the hotel for which he worked. It was his practice to open the doors of the hotel early in the morning.
On his arrival at the hotel at around 8.30 am on Monday, its owner found that the doors of the hotel had not yet been opened. As it felt strange, he went to check. He found that Shashidhar had consumed poison and breathed his last the previous night.
No reasons for the decision taken by Shashidhar to kill himself could be immediately attributed. Body of the deceased was later shifted to the mortuary of Wenlock Hospital here.
