Christmas celebrations at Mount Carmel School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 24 : Christmas is the season which comes sweetly, softly and silently wrapping its loveliness about the world to spread message of Love, Peace, Joy and Happiness. This magic of Christmas, all over the world, is not in the exchange of presents but in the celebration of God’s powerful presence among us. This is what our students witnessed today at Mount Carmel central School during the Celebration of Christmas 2016 hosted by the students of Class V A,B and C.

Christmas blessings were bestowed on everyone by a Christmas blessing prayer. Principal Sr. Melissa and Administrator Sr. Carissima were welcomed through Christmas greeting cards, prepared by the students in a novel way.

The program began by depicting 21st century Christmas celebrations both in Heaven and on Earth followed by a skit that gave a message of celebrating the birth of Jesus not just with outer grandeur but much more by preparing one’s own heart to accept each other with love and respect.

The students melodiously sang the Christmas carols in different languages and praised God and spread the fragrance of Christmas season. The stage was set on fire with various Christmas dances, wishing everyone a very happy Christmas. In her message, Principal Sr. Melissa called upon the staff and students to imbibe the true spirit of Christmas – loving and sharing, in school, in family and in society.

While Santa came to greet everyone, all the students joined in wishing one another, celebrating the day through a mass dance. After the formal programme, the students celebrated Christmas in their own classrooms along with their class teachers, sharing with one another Christmas Kuswar. It was indeed a joy filled day to one and all.
