Mangalore, Feb 4: Inauguration of the third national seminar on Lymphatic Filariasis and unveiling of the building plan of the Institute of Applied Dermatology will be held on Tuesday February 5 at Municipal Conference Hall at Kasargod.
The seminar will cast light on evidence based and integrated medicine for lymphatic filariasis, other chronic dermatoses and HIV/AIDS, informed Dr K S Bose here at a press conference on Monday February 4.
The event will be inaugurated by Prof Christine Moffatt, editor, Journal of Lymphodema, Thames Valley University, London, which would be presided over by C T Ahammed Ali, MLA of Kasaragod, he added.
The event has been organized jointly by the Institute of Applied Dermatology and the International Lymphoedema Framework. The event is supported by Indian council for medical research and development of science and technology, government of India and Kerala State Council for Science, technology and environment, he added.
Prof Terence of Oxford Medical University, UK and Kasargod district collector N A Krishna Kutty will be felicitated on the occasion.
The valedictory will be held on Thursday February 7 at 4 pm. MP of Kasargod P Karunakaran will deliver the keynote address while Prof Terence J Ryan will deliver the closing remarks.
