Spain's Vinales wins Argentine MotoGP


Buenos Aires, Apr 10 (IANS): Spain's Maverick Vinales clocked 41 minutes and 45.060 seconds to win his second consecutive MotoGP race with a comfortable victory in the Argentine Grand Prix here.

The 22-year-old became the first Yamaha rider since Wayne Rainey in 1991 to win the first two races of the season, reports Xinhua news agency.

Italy's seven-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi was second on his Yamaha on Sunday, finishing 2.915 seconds behind Vinales at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit.

Britain's Cal Crutchlow was third on his Honda, less than a second further back.

Reigning champion Marc Marquez, who started from pole position, crashed out on lap four while leading the race.
