Raichur: Five including four from family killed in Sindhanur accident

Raichur, Oct 1: In an accident which occurred between a Tum Tum rickshaw and an Eicher mini truck near Eluragi camp cross in the outskirts of Sidhanur town in the district on Saturday September 30, five persons were killed. Four of the victims belonged to a single family.

Shameed Saab Sabjali Saab (35), Sabjali Saab Ramzan Saab (40), Khajamma Sabjali Saab (65) and Lalabi Sabjali Saab (12), all of whom belonged to a single family, and Erayya Swamy Sannayya Swamy (45), died in the accident. All the five were from Boothaladinni Camp. The driver of the mini truck escaped with minor injuries. He was provided treatment at the government hospital at Sindhanur.

The family had come to Sindhanur to visit the Moharrum market there. After completing shopping, the family had hired a Tum Tum rickshaw to reach their village. The mini truck which hit the rickshaw at great force at Eluragi camp was moving at high speed, sources said. The rickshaw was badly mangled in this accident   of victims had been stuck in the mangled remains.
