Daijiwrold Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Oct 5: The bail application moved by Hindu Jagran Vedike regional organizing secretary, Jagadish Karanth, was again adjourned by the court of the first judicial magistrate to October 6. It may be recalled that it was adjourned on Tuesday to Wednesday as Karanth had to appear the same day in a court at Sullia.

When the petition was put up for hearing on Wednesday, Karanth was present in the court. However, the court could not conduct any activity as lawyers had boycotted court work. The judge who took up the case, ordered adjournment to October 6.

As such, the interim bail granted earlier continues to be valid till the next hearing.
