Udupi, Oct 10: A woman, who was walking on railway tracks near the railway station at Indrali here on Monday October 9, was hit by a train and killed. The deceased happened to be Indramma (61), from Koppa in Chikkamagaluru district.
Indramma had come from Koppa. She got down from the bus at 9.30 am and then began to walk to the house of her younger brother at Doddanaguddeby taking a narrow path. She was killed by a moving train.
The family members began to search for her after observing that Indramma who left Koppa by bus had not reached their home. During the search, the body of the lady ws found near Indrali o n Monday evening.
A case about this incident was filed in Manipal police station.
