Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank clocks turnover of one lac crore rupees

Mangaluru, Dec 29: Karnataka Bank Ltd, one of the premium private sector banks in India, has achieved the rare feat of one lac crore rupees in terms of total turnover. On this occasion, managing director of the bank, Mahabaleshwar M S, expressed his elation through a release.

"The bank had a humble beginning 93 years ago with the initial share capital of Rs 11,580. By providing good service to its customers, it has grown over these years. It has adapted well to the changing scenario and has stayed committed to its basic values. The new milestone the bank has now achieved will be a stepping stone for a new era the bank will be entering," he said.

Mahabaleshwar further said that his bank has stayed customer-friendly by implementing new technology and it has strengthened its inner identity and relevance. "Karnataka Bank is moving fast on the way of becoming a giant bank. We thank the well-wishers of the bank who are equally happy at the achievement of the bank, customers, share holders, board of directors and staff of the bank," he said.

He also added that the next target before the bank would be to have 130 lac customers by the end of year 2020.
