Karkala, Jan 4: Gold ornaments concealed under a pillow inside a house at Halekatte here were stolen during the day on Wednesday January 3.
The ornaments belonged to the wife of Vittalaraya Kudva residing at Kudva Compound at Halekatte. The gold ornaments weighing 18 sovereign had been kept below the pillow of the bed by her when she briefly went out. When she came back, the ornaments had disappeared.
A complaint about the theft was filed at the rural police station here. Investigation has been undertaken.
