Udupi, Jan 6: BJP district president Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde on Friday, January 5 said that peace has been disturbed in three districts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada due to the murder of Hindu activists namely Paresh Mesta and Deepak Rao.

“The well-planned murder of Hindu activists is taking place without any fear. As many as 23 brutal deaths have happened in the state in the last four and half years during Congress rule. The criminals of minority community who have involved in criminal activities have been strengthened after many of them were released from jail by CM Siddaramaiah.”

“State government did not take any precautionary measure to curb crimes, even after so many youngsters lost their lives. Now-a-days, parents fear for their working son and their safety. The young boys from other communities mislead Hindu girls in the name of ‘Love Jihad’.”

“I participated in the funeral procession of Deepak Rao. According to Bava, one of the accused Pinky Nawaz is the brother of Ladin Ismail who is a BJP worker. One of the police officers called me to enquire about this. It is far from truth and meaningless. BJP will not do such things for political benefits. How could BJP members kill its own party worker?”

“Deepak Rao murder was in preparation of chief minister’s visit. He is coming not for Sadhana samvesha but to walk on the dead body of Hindu activists.”

“The Congress party workers are inviting public for CM’s programme by luring that the party will give felicitation letter to them. All these instances show the misuse of power by the Congress party. The district administration is all set to welcome the CM. There is lack of infrastructure in coast. Considering all these, if the same government comes to power, what would they do for development?” Mattaru questioned.

“The district in-charge minister should release a report of 581 crore projects including expenditures. Varahi water project stopped in first phase and the second phase is yet to start. Siddaramaiah is only interested in few parts of the state. He did not even visit Sri Krishna math, though Swamiji invited him many times. His attitude towards Sri Krishna temple creates doubt if he belongs to the Hindu community. Sadhana Samavesha will be organized through government funds,” said Mattaru.

Throwing an open challenge to minister Pramod Madhwaraj, former MLA Raghupati Bhat said, “Let him release a detailed report on developments of 581 crore projects.”

“Deputy commissioner of Udupi is getting ready to invite CM with all preparation along with other departmental officers. It is a misuse of administration mechanism. Brahmavar sadhana samavesha programme does not look like a government programme. They should remove all Congress flexes and banners in highways and city. The DC should not allow Congress leaders to criticise Prime Minister Modi. If they do so DC will be the reason for that.”

Through media, Raghupati Bhat requested minister Pramod Madhwaraj to convince CM to visit Sri Krishna math. “As a secular person, CM should take a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna or Pejawar Swamiji. It is our request to him,” he said.

MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, president Yuva Morcha, Shrisha Nayak, BJP spokesperson, Katpady Shankar Poojary, Naveen Kutyar and zilla panchayat president Dinakar Babu were present.
