Narayana Murthy declines comment on son-in-law joining British cabinet


Bengaluru, Jan 11 (IANS): Infosys co-founder N.R.Narayana Murthy on Wednesday declined to comment on his son-in-law Rishi Sunak joining the British cabinet on Tuesday.

"I would not like to comment on a foreign appointment," Murthy told IANS on the margins of an event here.

Sunak, 37, a Conservative Party MP from Richmond, was inducted into Prime Minister Theresa May's government following a cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday, and appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Sunak married Murthy's daughter Akshata Murthy in 2009.
