Mangaluru: Deepak Rao murder - two remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Jan 12: The court here has remanded Naushad and Mohammed Irshan, accused in Deepak Rao murder case, to judicial custody till January 24.

The duo, who had been taken into police custody on January 4, were produced in court on Thursday. It is said that during their interrogation in police custody, the accused provided a lot of important information relating to the murder. The police are continuing with investigation on the basis of information collected from them.

At the same time, the other two accused, Pinky Nawaz and Rizwan, who were injured during police operation and were admitted into hospital for treatment, are yet to be questioned. In all likelihood, they would be discharged from hospital and produced in court on Friday, police sources stated.
