Bantwal: ACB catches Maninalkur PDO red-handed

Bantwal, Jan 12: Officials of Anti Corruption Bureau Mangaluru raided Maninalkur gram panchayat office on Thursday January 11 afternoon and arrested panchayat development officer (PDO), S Nanjundayya. Nanjundayya has been accused of accepting bribe from the general public.

The official was nabbed when accepting Rs 1,000 in the form of bribe from Padmanabha Mayya from Keyyottu in the village. It is said that the PDO had demanded bribe for permitting replacement of a pump set and providing drinking water connection.

A team led by ACB official, Yogeesh Kumar, had conducted this raid.
