Army completes construction of Elphinstone Road foot-overbridge


Mumbai, Jan 28 (TOI): The Indian Army has completed construction of foot-overbridge at Mumbai’s Elphinstone Road. The army was called in to build the bridges after a stampede on a narrow foot-overbridge at Elphinstone Road station killed 23 people on September 29, 2017. The deadline for the construction of foot-overbridge was February end, however, it was constructed well ahead of the deadline by Indian army. The Elphinstone foot-overbridge is being built as an extension for the north-end FOB at Parel station at a cost of Rs 11 crore.
