Mumbai: Mayuravarma Cultural Foundation holds annual conference

Mumbai, Feb 27: Mayuravarma Cultural Foundation held its ninth annual conference on Sunday evening February 25 at Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga, here. Dr Vasanth Kumar, gormer head of Kannada department, Mumbai University was conferred with Krishibandu award on the occasion.

Krishnavitala Foundation founder Vidwan Vishwanath Bhat Kairabettu chaired the programme. Author advocate V S N Hebbar, social worker Mohan Kumar J Gowda, entrepreneur Ananta S Pai Mulund, Havyaka Sandesh monthly magazine editor advocate Amitha S Bhagawath, Samyukta Karnataka daily Hubbballi edition editor Ajith Ghorpade Gadag were present as guests.

Students of Friends Swavalambana Kendra performed dances, sang poems, Janapada songs and group songs and presented a cultural programme. Mira Road Radhakrishna dance academy artistes presented dances under the leadership of Karthik Subrahmanya.



Gurumurthi Bhuvanagiri sang prayer songs. Late B S Kurkal was offered homage. Cultural foundation chief secretary Vishwanath Dodmane entertained the guests. Hema S Amin welcomed everyone and read the message. Treasurer Padmanabha delivered the keynote address. Prathibha Vaidya and Sharada Ambesange introduced the awardee and congratulated him. Tanuja Bhat compered the programme. Vice president Rajesh G Gowda proposed the vote of thanks.
