Pune, Aug 16: The Governor of Maharashtra S C Jamir  unfurled the national flag at Council Hall, Pune on Friday, August 15 on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of India's independence.


Alemla Jamir, Ajit Pawar, minister for irrigation, legislators, Rajlaxmi Bhosale, mayor of Pune, Dr Narandra Jadhav, vice-chancellor,Pune University, Niteen Kareer, commissioner of Pune, Dr Satyapal Singh, Commissioner of Police, Chandrakant Dalvi, district collector and citizens and freedom fighters were present on the occasion.
