Mumbai: Mysore Association to hold global poetry competition

Mumbai, Mar 9: Mysore Association which completed ninety years has been holding global poetry competitions every year since 2016. It has announced the third year's poetry competitions for 2018. Kannadigas anywhere in the world may participate and write poems on any subject. There is no admission fee.

First prize of Rs 10,000, second prize of Rs 5,000, third prize of Rs 3,000 and two consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each can be won by the participants.

The conditions of the competition are as follows:

The poems should be original. Translated or copied poems are not entertained.

Poems must be within the limit of 30 lines either handwritten or computer printed neatly.

Name of the poet, address, mobile number and email on a separate sheet of paper must be specified.

The poems sent for the competition should not be published anywhere else until the competition is over.

Only one poem can be sent by a person.

The poems received for competition cannot be returned.

The decision of the judges will be final.

The last date for receipt of poems is April 30.

The decision of the judges will be announced after June 15.

The results will be published in Nesaru magazine of Mysore Association, www.mysoreassociation.in, on facebook page Mysoreassociationmumbai and local daily newspapers.
