Kundapur, Apr 5: Rony alias Ronald D'Souza (54), resident of Kharvikeri here, lost his life in a terrible accident on Wednesday April 4 morning which happened at Shivamogga.
The accident happened when a tanker hit the scooter he was riding, near the bus stand at Shivamogga. He suffered grave injuries in the accident and breathed his last while being shifted to hospital.
Rony was posted as head constable at Shivamogga and the accident happened while he was on his way to report for duty. He is survived by his wife, Meena D'Souza, who is a teacher, a son and a daughter. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday at Shivamogga, family sources revealed.
