Mangaluru Apr 11: President of Nalike Samaja Seva Sangha here, S Prabhakar Shanthigodu condemned the statement of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for insulting ‘Nalike’ community during the recent protest at Kairangala.

Addressing media here on Wednesday, April 11, Prabhakar Shanthigodu said, "We are deeply hurt by the abusive statement of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat who said that people who don the role of Bhootas are mentally unsound. We condemn his statement and urge him not to insult any community with such statements. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat is mentally unsound who delivers provocative speeches and instigates communal violence for which case has been registered.

“Bhat has no moral right to talk about the one who dons the role of Bhootas. Nalike community does not have to learn anything from a criminal. We are deeply hurt. If continues to speak like that, we will definitely hold protests. We have already filed a complaint against Bhat at Belthangady police station,” he said.

Nalike Samaja Seva Sangha general secretary Shyam Sundar, Harish Navoor and others were present.
