Pune, Apr 13: On the occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, a caste certificate guidance camp was organised by Unity Social & Welfare Foundation, Pimpri.

The camp was organised and introduced by Social Worker Kiran Y Suvarna at Hotel Dakshin at Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri. The chief guests were Shridhar Somappa Poojary, vice-president of Lonavla Municipal Council, Pune and Poornima Ganesh Poojary, vice-president of Mangaluru Taluka Panchayath, Dakshina Kannada.



Former independent municipal corporator and director Bharat Bank gave guidance and explained the procedure to obtain caste certificate in Pune. People belonging to castes like Billava, Sappaliga, Moolya, and Kumbhar also attended.

Advocate Appu Moolya, Ganesh Anchan, and Shridhar Poojary former vice-presidents of Billava Sangha were also present on the stage for lamp lighting ceremony.

Social worker Sangita K Suvarna rendered the vote of thanks.
