Having received autonomy and NAAC accredited “A”, the College is poised for significant growth. In its newest venture, the College is eager to contribute to education in teaching excellence by helping teachers and aspiring teachers in NET.

According to the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines college  teachers will be recruited on the basis of a common qualifying test, the details of which will be formulated by UGC. Hence UGC and CSIR conduct a National Eligibility Test (NET) twice every year in the months of June and December.

For the candidates to help in the preparation of this examination, St Aloysius College is organizing a three-month long Training Programme on every Saturday from 1.30 P.M. to 5.30 P.M. There will be two sessions on each training day of two hours each

The training programme is separately organized for science subjects where the NET is conducted by CSIR and for other subjects where the NET is conducted by UGC.

Admissions for the training programme are open to all lecturers and post graduate students of various disciplines. The first year postgraduate students are also encouraged to participate in the programme.

Application forms are available with the St Aloysius College receptionist. Interested candidates are requested to contact the College Office or to the telephone number 0824-2449700 during working hours.
