Ballari, May 5: A nine-year-old was killed after the rope of the swing on which he was playing got tightened around his neck. This unfortunate incident happened at K Ayyanahalli village near Kottur in the district.
The incident happened when no one was around. Mahantesh, the boy in question, was playing on a swing located in the front portion of his house on Friday May 4 as usual. However, when he playfully took twists and turns on the swing, the rope got tightened around his neck. As nobody noticed the boy's plight, he soon died due to asphyxiation.
