Mangalore: Auto Rickshaw Rams Motorbike Killing One

Mangalore, Sep 13: One person died and another escaped with minor injuries in an accident  that occurred at the busy intersection of National Highway 17 and city roads, near Circuit House, on Friday September 12.

The deceased is Tejas Mehta (37), a resident of Kodialbail.  The accident took place as an auto rickshaw rammed the bike from the rear. Mehta was driving the bike with his son riding pillion. He was on his way home after picking up his son from Lourdes Central School, Bejai.



Mehta died on the spot as his head hit the ground, but his son suffered only a few bruises.

Kadri traffic police have registered a case and have initiated efforts to trace the auto rickshaw driver who fled the place after the accident.
