Bengaluru: KSRTC bus hits lorry - two lose lives

Bengaluru, May 30: After a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus rammed into a lorry that had been parked by the side of national highway on Monday May 29, two passengers of the bus died on the spot. The accident happened near Tippagondanahalli village in Nelamangala taluk in the rural district here.

The deceased were Dharmappa (75) and his wife, Dhanalaxmamma (70), from Nyamathi, Tarikere near Bhadravathi.

The bus in question was moving to the city from Shivamogga. Due to the recklessness of the driver of the bus, Kari Gowda, the bus plowed into the stationary truck. The driver fled from the spot immediately after the accident.

Five persons including conductor of the bus, Chandra Nayak, were injured in the accident. Traffic police rushed to the spot, admitted the injured into the government hospital, and registered a case.
