Bantwal, Jun 1: Bantwal forest officials seized a vehicle transporting wooden logs worth Rs 4 lac illegally at Nadaje, Manchi, B C Road and arrested its driver Kolnadu Abdul Razak. He was later released on bail.

Zonal forest officer Suresh B, assistant Preetham, forest guards Jithesh P, Dayananda, Vinayakumar and Shivalinga swamy took part in the operation.

Further investigations are being conducted by assistant conservator of forests Shanker Gowda under the guidance of deputy conservator of forests Dr Karikalan.
